Tye Dye Party

We ended the afternoon with a Tye Dye Party today!  We had family and friends along with the neighborhood kids join us today for some good old fashion fun!  My Mother-in-law and Father-in-law drove over with Jack, CJ and Jessica to get in on the fun!  We had a small rain shower in the midst of it, but for the most part the weather held.  Good thing, cause this is major messy business!!!
Miller very kindly helped get the dye ready while I was helping Tye up shirts!

Garbage Bags are the new fashion!
Calvin Klein eat your heart out!

This is after the clean up!!!
My hands are still blue...so much for the gloves!
The kids and I look like avatars!

Snack time!
Poor Dylan has an audition for Broadway tomorrow and his hands are blue!  He was just realizing that it wasn't coming off!

Bright and Early

This morning the girls had to get up early for lessons.  I'm glad it was in the morning, as it was already very hot and humid out and getting worse by the minute!  I got a nasty sunburn on the back of my neck and shoulders from just watching them...
Dene started out on Pink Floyd...he is very bumpy at a cantor!  Caitlynn the instructor wanted to get a feel for Dene's riding as this was her first lesson there.  Tomorrow she will be on Abby, a horse that has a bunch of spunk!

Maddie rode Melody for the first time today, it was a match made in heaven!  Maddie kept asking for her for Christmas!  Now would be a very good time to believe in Santa...Cause he is the only one who is going to get her for you!

About half way through the lesson, they switched horses and by the end BOTH girls needed a bath!

Ice Cream Truck

Tonight I watched as every child on our street FROZE like deer in the headlights...frozen to the sound of a distant ice cream truck! As the song grew louder, sheer pandimunium broke out, screams of ICE CREAM, arms a flying, legs a running, it was like watching an Indian Jones Movie!!! Our little dead end street had been discovered after all these years!

There were so many choices!  We were lucky that the truck stopped right in front of our house...the girls had first choice before all the "littles" came screaming down the street waving their money!  Mr. Ding-a-ling, who happens to be a Ms.  very kindly posed for a picture with us.  Dene hadn't known that Ice Cream trucks really existed, she thought they were only in the movies!

Crazy Americans!

No ice cream for Carson :(
He was at soccer practice...

16 Kilometer Bike Ride!

Dene had an adventure today with Susan and Daniel today!  She biked 10 miles (16 kilometers) along the Erie Canal to Green Lakes! They started in Chittenango at the canal...

And biked all the way to Green Lakes!
Had lunch at the beach.
Enjoyed the sites!
When the rain stopped, Daniel and Dene got their feet wet!
GREEN LAKES!!!

Did a little bit of exploring...
and then it was time to head home again!
If you listen carefully, you can hear Dene exclaim as she pedaled for home...my butt hurts!!!

When she got home, she went to the computer to figure out exactly what 10 miles was...
I'm thinking if she had known that it was 16 Kilometers, she would have stayed home and watched Harry Potter!
Torture Device!

Happy Endings on a Hot Afternoon

After a day of running errands, we ended the afternoon in Oneida Lake at Dylan and Colin's house!
Three water bugs making their way out...

Colin relaxing after a hard day of play!  The water bugs are in the background!
Colin and Carson chilling!

Sparkly water, it was a beautiful day!

Almost to shore, after cooling off!

Pictured Maddie, Dylan and Dene
It was a nice way to end the afternoon!
Then it was time to go home and make dinner and be silly at home!

On the 4th of July

Today was a fun filled day spent with really good friends!  The day was spent with swimming and total silliness.

ALL the kids were tooling around on the 4 wheeler with the youngest of the bunch doing the driving!  We had a great meal, followed by going out for ice cream.
(As soon as I get the photos from Hebble I will post them)
Abby totally enjoyed her ice cream...she eats it the way we all really want to on a hot day!  Devin proved once again what a total goof he is when he managed to loose his balance and fall off the bench!  We were all laughing so hard!

Unfortunately the day ended without the right kind of Bang...Abby fell off the island...BIG SCARE, and we missed the fireworks :(  The Beach started them early BOO.
